We will not have weekly readers again this week (or next week during Catholic School’s Week). We are continuing to work on “blends” in the classroom with a Star Wars Theme. Please continue to encourage your child to read at home each night, even if only for 5 minutes!
We are on Sight Word packet #5. The Silly sight word reading sheet will come home to be signed and returned by Friday.
This Wednesday, after school, is the first opportunity to make purchases at the Book Fair. The book fair will be open Weds. Thurs. and Fri. until 4pm. It will also be open during school hours on Thurs. and Fri. If you choose to send money with your child, please make sure you’re his/her name is on it and label the bag/envelope “book fair.”
If you have not yet returned the forms that were sent home regarding Catholic School’s week, special-guest day, field trip permission slip, and registration forms, please do so ASAP.
This Sunday is our kick off to Catholic School’s Week. We will have an 8am mass, which students are invited to participate in (forms for this went home from Ms. Hoffman). Following mass, the school will be open for registration for the 2016-17 school year. We will have an art fair, book fair, and science fair. Juice and donuts will be in the cafeteria. Please spread the word about our great school and invite friends and family to come check us out. I look forward to seeing you all Sunday!
Don’t forget, this Friday is “All For Books” free dress day for $1. All the money that is raised will go towards the teacher’ classroom libraries, and Scholastic matches this amount $1 for $1 to give books to children in need around the country.
PE is on Tuesday this week!
